Communicating with Spirits

Janet Mayer spontaneously started speaking a rare Brazilian language, Yanomani when she was participating in a Holotropic Breathwork session (Dr. Stanislav Grof's breathing exercise) while in a non-ordinary state of consciousness. While that is amazing in itself, it is even more incredible that she is capable of speaking this language whenever she desires without having to go into a trance, or other meditative state. In addition to that, she has absolutely no idea what she is saying, which means initially she was only assuming that it was a language.

After searching for four years, she met Dr. Bernardo Peixoto, an advisor to the Smithsonian Institute, who was able to confirm that she was indeed speaking a language--in fact she was speaking multiple languages, all of which originate in the Amazonian Rainforest. Among the languages that she has been verified speaking are Yanomano, Tucano, Fulnio, and Cana Mari. She has been speaking these languages for sixteen years now. Her website,

Janet Mayer, has worked as a research medium with a number of universities. Author of Spirits ...They Are Present, she will share stories of her psychic and mediumship experiences that took her on a journey she wasn't planning to travel. A journey that brought her through an amazing spiritual awakening. Being validated as a Psychic medium at a University setting to spontaneously speaking South American Indigenous tribal languages, she realized this isn't just something you happen to stumble upon every day, there is a purpose but what is it and why her? Does this validate reincarnation or channeling a spirit-being? Decide for yourself as you listen to her spontaneous speak the indigenous languages.

AN FMBR WORKSHOP:

New Approach to I Ching Workshop
Simplify Interpretation and Apply it to Decision Making and Creativity
Alberto Ramon

Saturday, September 29
10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Los Altos Masonic Lodge, 146 Main St., Los Altos, CA

I Ching Interpretation:

The I Ching is an ancient system of divination originating in China that utilizes one's intuition to help with decision making, creativity, and insight.

Limits of Logic:

There are limits to logic in decision making, when there are a large number of factors involved.

Intuition:

By drawing on our intuition as we address complex decisions in our lives, we often discover surprising insights and new, creative solutions that may not have occurred to us through logic alone

I Ching:
For thousands of years the I Ching has been used in China and other countries as a tool to access one's intuition by asking questions. Based on the chance results obtained from a toss of coins, the corresponding passages in the I Ching book provide readings with an answer, whether the question is simple or profound, general or specific, as long as one's intentions are valid.

Method:
In the workshop you will be taught a new approach to simplify I Ching interpretation and tap into your intuition. Alberto will work with the participants so they can gain greater intuitive insight and clarity, which will help them in making the decisions related to the questions they have brought.

What is Being Planned at FMBR

Jerry Gin and Judy Kitt

After 32 years of exploring the science of the mind and consciousness, we at the Foundation for Mind Being Research have seen a great deal of confirmation that we humans are more than the body/brain complex. Through our studies of remote viewing, quantum mechanics, distance healing, subtle or torsion energy, near death experiences, out-of-body experiences, spoon bending, Biogeometry, dowsing, communication with plants, etc., we have come to understand, as have many in scientific and non-scientific fields alike, that we are all interconnected. Science has proven what the enlightened minds of various wisdom traditions have been saying for thousands of years. As Chief Seattle famously said, "All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself." This understanding, which is rapidly coming to light across all sectors of society, is integral to creating a mindset that will allow us to solve the myriad challenges which face humanity today.

We at FMBR have been feeling an impulse to increase awareness in the general public about the scientific basis for understanding that what we do to the planet, we do to ourselves. It is our hope that, as humanity begins to change its worldview from one of separation to one of interconnection, we will find the collective will to expand and implement the many innovative solutions that are being discovered every day. We believe that the spirit of inquiry and innovation which is the essence of scientific exploration will enable us to co-create a world and a future that works for everyone.

As a result, the all-volunteer board and staff of FMBR have been very busy planning the future direction of our non-profit organization -- expanding the scope of the organization in order to share our learning with a larger audience. The core values and monthly lectures of FMBR will remain at the heart of the organization, and we will add expanded educational and experiential opportunities. Along with education, we will sponsor and support research in the areas of mind-being/consciousness and of subtle energies and the utilization of zero point energy.

With the broader emphasis on education, research, and societal values and being a non-profit organization, we do ask your help in the form of donations and membership in FMBR. We are a volunteer organization and need the help of our members to realize our goals. We need help in

  • grant writing
  • making contact with corporations for both donations and participation in research
  • utilization of social media to let people know about our organization and programs.

Please speak with any member of the board if you have interest in doing volunteer work for the organization. Also, if you feel called to help the board in any other capacity, please let us know.

Discontinuing paper newsletter

In an effort to make mindful use of our natural resources, and because just about everyone is now connected to the internet and email, we will soon cease sending out paper versions of our newsletter and rely totally on email communication. If we do not have your email address, please go to our web site and enter your email address under "Get Your Newsletter by Email".

INFORMATION ABOUT THE
FOUNDATION FOR MIND-BEING RESEARCH

The Foundation was established in 1980 to assist in the evolution of consciousness studies and to help bring this new field into wider recognition as a bona fide science. The interdisciplinary nature of the field is reflected in the activities of the organization and in the breadth of interests of its members who currently represent areas of engineering, science, medicine, the humanities, and the arts.

With its major focus on facilitating the development of an integrated model of consciousness, the Foundation provides encouragement and resources to a rather unique group of creative researchers and scientists with the objective of betterment of the individual, the society, and the environment.

Because of the special nature of scientific inquiry in this area, the Foundation is interested in building its regular membership with competent individuals who:

  • are open to a multidisciplinary approach to knowledge
  • recognize they are an integral part of any experiment in which they choose to participate
  • know and are prepared to expand their own level of consciousness

The intention is to develop high standards of credibility in all research activities and publications.

Donations made to the Foundation are tax deductible.

The Foundation is incorporated under the laws of the State of California and operates as a non-profit scientific research organization under IRS code 509 (a)2 with tax exempt status under section 501 (c)3.
