Speakers 2012-13 Season
Communicating with Spirits
Janet Mayer spontaneously started speaking a rare Brazilian language, Yanomani when she was participating in a Holotropic Breathwork session (Dr. Stanislav Grof's breathing exercise) while in a non-ordinary state of consciousness. While that is amazing in itself, it is even more incredible that she is capable of speaking this language whenever she desires without having to go into a trance, or other meditative state. In addition to that, she has absolutely no idea what she is saying, which means initially she was only assuming that it was a language.
After searching for four years, she met Dr. Bernardo Peixoto, an advisor to the Smithsonian Institute, who was able to confirm that she was indeed speaking a language--in fact she was speaking multiple languages, all of which originate in the Amazonian Rainforest. Among the languages that she has been verified speaking are Yanomano, Tucano, Fulnio, and Cana Mari. She has been speaking these languages for sixteen years now. Her website.
Janet Mayer, has worked as a research medium with a number of universities. Author of Spirits ...They Are Present, she will share stories of her psychic and mediumship experiences that took her on a journey she wasn't planning to travel. A journey that brought her through an amazing spiritual awakening. Being validated as a Psychic medium at a University setting to spontaneously speaking South American Indigenous tribal languages, she realized this isn't just something you happen to stumble upon every day, there is a purpose but what is it and why her? Does this validate reincarnation or channeling a spirit-being? Decide for yourself as you listen to her spontaneous speak the indigenous languages.

The Mysteries of the Orb Phenomena
with Virginia Hummel and Susan Collins
Virginia Hummel, author of Miracle Messenger and Susan Collins, author of Dowsing That Works-Meeting Orbs in Sacred Space, www.dowser.ca/orbsbook.html will share their fascinating experiences with the "orb" phenomenon. Orbs have been described as solid (dust, pollen) or liquid particles (water droplets) or other foreign material within the camera lens. However, as Virginia and Susan will explain, they may be some other anomalous, perhaps conscious energy. Primarily seen in low-light flash photos, Orbs show up in non-flash daytime photos as well as moving across the image in videos. They also seem to respond to human emotion. Virginia and Susan will discuss their theories as to what they are. They will help decipher the orbs various patterns, features and characteristics and distinguish them from lens flare and other photographic artifacts.
Susan Collins, President of the Canadian Society of Dowsers from 2003 to 2006 was Dowser of the Year in 2006. She is a full-time, professional dowser and has presented at many international conferences in North America, the United Kingdom and the Middle East. She is the author of a successful series of books and DVDs on dowsing techniques. www.dowser.ca/

Lessons from the Lab:
Energy Healing Experiments on Cancer with Bengston
Bill Bengston has conducted more than a dozen experiments on mice in half a dozen labs, including three medical schools. The data from these experiments indicate reliable full lifespan cures of mice infected with normally fatal cancers. These cures have been replicated by skeptical volunteers using "energy healing" techniques which he helped to develop.
William F. Bengston, PhD, is a professor of sociology at St. Joseph's College in New York, and the President of the Society for Scientific Exploration, an international group of scientists who study anomalies. His areas of specialization include research methods and statistics.

The Source Code: Programming the Algorithm for Instantaneous Impacts
With Julia Assante
Science and technology are providing the conceptual vocabulary to articulate afterlife experiences, such as near-death experiences and after-death encounters. Technology is training us to open formerly closed modes of perception that enable afterlife communication. The voices of individual experience are speaking more convincingly than religion or science of this wondrous nonlocal reality. From them we also gain a new understanding of telepathy, time, and consciousness itself.
From 1977 to the present Julia Assante has worked as a professional intuitive. In addition to psychic readings, communicating with the dead for others and working as a past-life therapist, she is frequently called upon to assist the passage of the dying and, as an All-Faiths minister, officiate at funerals.
Julia Assante, the author, is an established social historian of the ancient Near East (PhD Columbia University). Yet for over three decades she has also been an active professional intuitive. In her book, The Last Frontier: Exploring the Afterlife and Transforming Our Fear of Death , she applies the insights and methodologies gained from both fields in order to present a uniquely rigorous investigation of where we go after we die.

The Origins of Being and Reality
a discussion with Dr. Keith Scott-Mumby
Join in a conversation that will lead us to understand the nature of our world by following the course of logic from Dr. Keith Scott-Mumby. We will follow him through the rabbit hole from our current world view to another world view that explains reality and consciousness. Dr Keith is hoping that this discussion will add to and shape a forth coming book.
Dr. Scott-Mumby has been at the forefront of advances in medicine for almost 40 years. He was among the original pioneers of the "Clinical Ecology" movement. In the 1980s he made medico-legal history when a United Kingdom Crown Court accepted his evidence that food allergy could make a youth murderously violent. He has been dubbed the world's "Number One Allergy Detective" (Sunday Mail, United Kingdom, 1990).
He has written many books on Alternative and Complementary Medicine, including Virtual Medicine and Diet Wise. He is an Advisory Member to several Boards, including "What Doctors Don't Tell You," and the Society For Homotoxicology in the United Kingdom. He has been a Professor at the now-demised Capital University of Integrative Medicine, Washington DC, and is currently on the faculty of the Open International University for Complementary Medicine.

A Panel Discussing Near-Death Experiences.
The April FMBR program will be a panel discussion. The panel will consist of four people who have had Near-Death Experiences. (NDE) The panel will consists of Alan Hugenot, PMH Atwater, Nadia McCaffrey, and Sharon Lund, and will be hosted by Bill Virga.
Alan Hugenot graduated from college with an engineering degree after being trained to view the world through the perspective of Newtonian materialist science, But, in 1970, he survived a Near-Death experience which changed his perspective on everything. Since then, he has spent over 40 years collating all then scientific research on consciousness survival and the afterlife, including Near-Death experiences, reincarnation and past life regression therapy, After-Death communications and the supporting theories of quantum mechanics. Here is a longer bio for Alan.
PMH Atwater is an international authority on near-death states, Dr. Atwater uses the culmination of her research to establish that the Near-Death phenomenon is not some kind of anomaly, but is rather part of the larger genre of transformations of consciousness. She combines her 33 years of near-death research with what she was doing in the 60s and 70s, experiencing, experimenting with, and researching altered states of consciousness, mysticism, psychic phenomena, and the transformational process, to reveal what transformations of consciousness really are, why we have them, and where they lead us. Here is a longer bio for PMH.
Sharon Lund, has danced with life and dance throughout her life, overcoming nine years of sexual abuse as a child, anorexia, suicide attempts, HIV/AIDS and two near-death experiences. She has embraced all of her challenges because they brought her to self-discovery, wholeness, and living her life purpose. Here is a longer bio for Sharon.
Nadia McCaffrey, a three-time near death experiencer had her first NDE at age seven while spending the summer with her grandparents on their estate in central France . She was bitten by a red asp, a deadly snake. Floating above her body, Nadia suddenly became aware of a feminine presence -- a being of light who introduced herself to Nadia as: "Je suis ta petite Maman du ciel," (I am your little mother of the sky). Nadia recalls: "She was so beautiful. She was everything ... you just can't really ... describe the peace, the love, the well being ... She opened her arms ... and I just wanted to curl up and touch her. She made me understand that I couldn't do that, I couldn't come any closer, that she had things to communicate to me, so I stopped. I stayed there floating in mid-air." Here is a longer bio for Nadia.
The host of the panel will be Bill Virga, M.A. Transpersonal Psychology and FMBR member.

How Conscious Business Will Heal Humanity and our Planet
with John Montgomery
John Montgomery wrote the book Great from the Start to show how to apply the business secrets of Silicon Valley to build a solid foundation. His talk will suggest the design of a new company as a conscious corporation. Why conscious?
- First, to thrive a corporation must be awake to make conscious decisions with inspired people who are united by a common purpose and shared values.
- Second, a corporation must be aware of all of its stakeholders' needs and the complexities of today's world. Without this awareness, the prevailing concept of the corporation existing solely to maximize profit for shareholders will limit its success.
- Finally, because the law endows it with many of the rights of personhood, a corporation must be conscious to act appropriately as a responsible global citizen.
This will be an introduction to a new type of corporate structure, the Benefit Corporation. A corporate structure that considers more than the bottom line. Such a corporation recognizes that it must be active in all the aspects of the world it functions in.
John Montgomery is a corporate attorney, entrepreneur, executive coach and writer. He is the founder of Montgomery & Hansen, LLP, a Silicon Valley based corporate law firm and also the founder of Startworks, a technology incubator. He works primarily with high-potential entrepreneurial teams to help them translate their visions into successful companies.
John is a student of non-dual philosophical systems, neuroscience, developmental theory and organizational development. In 2010, he co-founded Chrysallis, a human development company that aims to change the human development paradigm and support healthy, full, productive lives for billions of people.

The Whole in EveryOne: The Emergence of A Commonly Sensed Consciousness
by Sperry Andrews
Studies at several independent laboratories over a twenty-year period have shown that the whole of humanity - as a living being - functions very much as does an individual. In an individual, millions of nerve cells have to be stimulated-together to produce a single-conscious- perception. To wake up before we "hit the wall", millions of us will need to tune in to our capacity for being Conscious - as a collective. As humanity awakens, this will eliminate poverty, pollution, disease, crime and war and create harmony. By being awake together, it is unmistakably known how "The world can live as one".
Sperry Andrews, Sperry Andrews, B.S.F.A. has been the Executive Director of the Human Connection Project since 1990. He founded the Human Connection Institute in 1996 to further the use of experiential group consciousness for healing, community building, sports and business. Sperry has collaborated with eminent scientists and educators conducting both objective and experiential research, into the emergence of a commonly sensed consciousness.
Sperry Andrews has been facilitating groups internationally for thirty years. He is a scientist of human consciousness exploring how humankind can live in harmony. The Human Connection Project is bringing together world-class scientists, educators and media people to help shift the separative "mind-set" of humanity through a scientifically-based, social-action, media-research program.
