Our Tiniest Near-Death Experiencers: Startling Evidence of a Brain Shift

PMH Atwater

Not enough attention has been paid to the youngest near-death experiencers: those still in the womb, newborns, infants, toddlers, and those under the age of six. We are fascinated with out-of-the-mouth-of-babes stories, yet we fail to examine the aftereffects they contend with and why professional therapists are unable to understand or relate to them.

In this talk Atwater focuses on the unusual enhancements in intelligent often found with these children and how they return from death or near death abstracting, appearing to be more mature, wiser, creative problem solvers, who seem to have undergone a learning reversal. Attention is given to those who remember their birth and have pre-birth memories, those who appear to have experienced what Dr. Atwater calls "a brain shift" - what may well be a structural, chemical, and functionary change in the brain.

The three distinct lights encountered in near-death states will also be discussed, especially the Black or Dark Light, which seems to have an important role with healings and wisdom. Many child experiencers call this Light, "The Darkness That Knows."

About PMH Atwater

P. M. H. Atwater, L.H.D. is one of the original researchers in the field of near-death studies, having begun her work in 1978 and completing 10 books on her findings – some of which have now been verified in clinical settings. Her book, The Big Book of Near-Death Experiences, was featured in the online version of Newsweek Magazine. Near-Death Experiences: The Rest of The Story is her most complete and controversial book yet.

She has won many awards, appeared on numerous TV shows, and spoken around the world – always inviting people to look past appearances for the truth that underlies what we think we know.

Lucid Dreams & Healing - How Lucid Dreaming Allows for Healing and Wholeness

Robert Waggoner

The scientific evidence for lucid dreaming appeared prominently in 1980, through the work of Keith Hearne in England and Stephen LaBerge at Stanford. Being consciously aware of dreaming while in the dream, however, has a vast tradition in Buddhist dream yoga, Sufism and native shamanic traditions for millennia. There, lucid dreaming serves as a tool for deep exploration into the nature of mind and reality.

Our presenter, Robert Waggoner, taught himself a simple technique in 1975 to become lucidly aware and has had more than 1,000 lucid dreams. His two books explore the amazing potential of this profound state and what it reveals. Waggoner sees lucid dreaming as an 'open platform' that allows for accessing inner creativity, exploring the deeper nature of self, engaging spiritual concepts and healing the emotional and physical body.

In this special presentation, Waggoner will focus on using lucid dreams for healing. Already some psychotherapists use lucid dreaming as an accepted means to resolve recurring nightmares in clients with post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD. However, Waggoner shows that lucid dreaming has far greater potential for physical healing and resolving emotional trauma. He will provide compelling examples of healing lucid dreams, and will explain how these show underlying mechanisms that anyone can use for healing.

About Robert Waggoner

Lucid Dreaming

Robert Waggoner wrote the acclaimed book, Lucid Dreaming – Gateway to the Inner Self (now in its tenth printing), and co-authored Lucid Dreaming Plain and Simple with Caroline McCready. Both books are in Audible, Kindle and CD/Mp3. His books have been translated into French, German, Chinese, Korean, Czech, Finnish and other languages.

A past President of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD), Waggoner serves at co-editor of the online magazine, The Lucid Dreaming Experience, (ISSN 2167-616X); the only ongoing publication devoted specifically to lucid dreaming. A lucid dreamer since 1975, he has logged more than 1,000 lucid dreams.

Waggoner frequently speaks on the science and practice of lucid dreaming at international dream conferences, workshops, college classrooms and in media appearances, including on CNN, CBS and ABC News.

Synesthesia: The Next Frontier of Human Potential

Maureen Seaberg

Maureen Seaberg

We are fast approaching a moment of inflection when humans will either choose a transhuman future or remain as nature intended. But we don’t have all the information we need to make this historic decision. As researchers work to create realistic experiences in robotics, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality laboratories, they are discovering that our senses are far more powerful than we know – beyond any machine and the rest of the animal kingdom.

We can see light at the level of a single photon with our unaided eyes; we can hear sounds with amplitudes smaller than the diameter of an atom; we can smell a trillion or more scents; we can taste fresh water; and we can feel a single molecule change in thickness on a smooth surface.

Author Maureen Seaberg dispels lingering Victorian-era myths that make us believe we don’t sense as well as the rest of the animal kingdom. And she advocates for a more natural approach to growing and using our extraordinary “high-tech/soft tissue” bodies with clear steps gleaned from the scientific literature and those with super abilities, including herself.

About Maureen Seaberg

Maureen Seaberg is an author with several forms of synesthesia and is an expert synesthesia blogger for Psychology Today. She has written for numerous publications, including the New York Times; the Daily Beast; the Huffington Post; O, the Oprah Magazine; and ESPN: The Magazine. She has appeared on MSNBC, PBS, and The Lisa Oz Show on Oprah Radio.

Ms. Seaberg has presented on synesthesia at the University of Arizona's Center for Consciousness Studies' Toward a Science of Consciousness TSC conferences in Tucson and in Stockholm, at the American Synesthesia Association conference at Vanderbilt University, at New York University, at Yale and and at Tibet House.

She recently tested DNA positive for tetrachromacy, or the presence of a fourth cone for color vision.

Her books include:

  • Struck By Genius: How a Brain Injury Made Me a Mathematical Marvel, the story of Jason Padgett, who acquired synesthesia and savant syndrome following a brain injury. (Co-author)
  • Tasting the Universe: People Who See Colors in Words and Rainbows in Symphonies (A Spiritual and Scientific Exploration of Synesthesia)
  • And the forthcoming: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: The Astonishing New Science of the Senses.

The Secret Intelligence of Water: Microscopic Evidence of Water Responding to Human Consciousness

Veda Austin

Veda Austin

Veda is a water researcher, public speaker, mother, artist and author. She has dedicated the last 8 years observing and photographing the life of water. She believes that water is fluid intelligence, observing itself through every living organism on the planet and in the Universe.

Her primary area of focus is photographing water in its ‘state of creation’, the space between liquid and ice. It is through her remarkable crystallographic photos that water reveals its awareness of not only Creation, but thought and intention through imagery.

Veda brings a message of hope and joy from the very source of life itself, she says “Water is transparent, it knows no colour, creed or religion. Water does not judge, nor does it label, it will enter the body of an ant as easily as it will enter the body of a king, or a homeless person or a tree or a dragonfly. Water is our constant companion, from the moment we are conceived it is always with us...even upon death, it is water that evaporates from the physical rising upwards into the Heavens.

Veda sees water as Source rather than a resource, and considers all bodies of water to be sacred. Her passion for water extends out of the freezer and into primary schools where she donates time teaching water science and cleverly intertwines it with art projects. She loves to reconnect children to the living water systems inside and outside of their bodies, believing that the 'tamariki' (children) are the water bearers of the future. She also spends a lot of time doing interviews and podcasts where she shares her findings and inspiring perspectives.

What others say about Veda Austin

A wonderful blend of art and science. Some of the images are nothing short of amazing. Veda Austin has demonstrated how water responds to our thinking, in ways that I and others would have thought unimaginable. It now falls within the realm of science to see if we can explain what Austin has so beautifully demonstrated.

- Gerald H. Pollack, PhD, Professor, University of Washington; Editor-in-Chief, WATER.

A remarkable investigation. Veda Austin has produced some interesting and impressive images which go way beyond what would be expected on the basis of conventional science. I hope that her pioneering work will stimulate others to follow up with systematic investigations of their own.
